This mixed-media artwork explores the power and its identity crisis.
My dynamic photographic collage visually explores the complex intersections of sexuality, identity, and mortality. Inspired by the bold and vibrant pop art style, I seek to challenge traditional representations of the female form and evoke empowerment and vulnerability while bringing new thoughts of identity to question.
The central image of a naked female body with a skull replacing the head symbolises our physical existence's fragility and temporary nature. At the same time represents the removal of identity and the emptiness of waiting for new information to be uploaded.
Using pink over a vibrant yellow block highlights the interplay of light and shadow, creating a sense of contrast and tension that mirrors the internal struggle of an identity crisis. Through this work, I hope to spark a conversation about the multiple facets of the human experience and the constant search for self-discovery and understanding.
